Statement Regarding the Richard Weston Trailer

The Meadow team was made aware today that the original Richard Weston trailer mod was stolen and leaked sometime between 2019 and 2022. Every effort was made at the time to have it removed from third-party sites, but unfortunately, as one version is taken down, another often appears in its place.

My decision to work on the RW trailer mod was a direct response to the original version being released on KM in poor quality. The core issue with this particular mod is that its original mod description had been deliberately tampered with, and the original creator’s credits were removed.

I want to make it clear that for all mods I release, I make every effort to contact the original creators before anything is made public. In rare cases—usually involving very old content—it is nearly impossible to trace or contact the original authors. The modding community is constantly changing, with people joining and leaving regularly, which makes tracking creators difficult at times.

Regarding all Meadow mods: we never remove original credits from mod descriptions. We leave the original mod description intact and only add our own names to acknowledge our contributions.

I have since spoken directly with BenjiFS, the original creator, who has kindly agreed that the mod can remain on itch.io. As per his request, the mod description will be updated immediately to reflect the correct and original credits.
